Placement Fees

What you pay, laid out plainly.

Since 1996, every family hears the same numbers, in writing, before they commit to anything. Our fee is six weeks of the nanny's salary, with a six-month replacement guarantee.

Our Fees

Three ways to hire

Permanent Placement

6 weeks of salary

Part-time or full-time, over 3 months

  • $325 intake fee to begin your search, credited toward the placement fee.
  • Placement fee: hourly rate × guaranteed weekly hours × 6 weeks, due when you accept an offer.
  • Six-month replacement guarantee from the nanny's start date.
  • Nannies commit to a minimum of one year.

Returning families receive 10% off the placement fee.

Short-Term Placement

$250 + 20%

Assignments under 3 months

  • $250 nonrefundable deposit to begin.
  • 20% of the nanny's gross pay for the assignment.
  • One-week replacement guarantee.
  • The nanny's pay (typically $35–$50 an hour) is separate, paid by you.

On-Call & Backup

$50 a day

For a day or two of coverage

  • $150 deposit, deducted from the fee, so a day or two is still $150.
  • Need more than a few days? It becomes a short-term placement.
  • Caregiver pay is separate and goes to the caregiver.
